The invention relates to the development of a method for the purification of ethylene-propylene-dienosto rubber from impurities, which consist mainly of water, the solvent used in the polymerization process (C-compound), and residual diene monomer. The purpose of the invention is to increase the cleaning efficiency of ethylene-propylene diene rubber from impurities, as well as to reduce the amount of extractant used. The method is carried out as follows. A 50 cm3 autoclave is loaded with a crumb of ethylene propylene diene rubber with a particle size of mm. At a pressure of 150–200 atm and 308–333 K, carbon dioxide or ethylene in the amount of 73–712 nm3 per 1 kg of impurities is passed through the rubber crumb. After passing the extractant, the crumb rubber is analyzed for the content of impurities. The method provides for preferential removal from rubber before its treatment with an extractant of water to a content not exceeding 5% of the mass of rubber. The rubber can be pre-dried by filtration, spin filtration, centrifugation and / or evaporation.
